Time for me to shamelessly promote the game that I've been playing for the past few days, Wonderland Online!
Now,although this game doesn't have super-fancy graphics... it'ssurprisingly addictive, and completely free. Of course, there's an ItemMall for exorbitant items and such, but that's completely optional!Here's a few things I find pretty awesome about this cute MMO:
~ Super-cute anime-styled art and customization!
Need I say more? Choose from twelve different characters(and even one secret character!), choose your element (Fire, Earth,Water, or Wind), and pick a path -- Physical, Magical, or Assist -- andyou're on your way to playing the game! Even better, you can selectyour character's hair color, skin color, and eye color to make themeven more unique, and you aren't limited to what your character is"supposed" to be! Any character can be anything!
~ Turn-based battle system.
Itfeels like old-school SNES RPGs. Like Lufia or Final Fantasy! Heck,when you're in a party, only the party leader moves around -- everyoneelse follows the leader, just like in old-school RPGs!
~ Extensive manufacturing system.
Holycow, you can make like... anything and everything. O_o From furnitureto decorate your house, to work stations and forging tools, to clothesand weapons... You can cook food that you catch (yay, fishing!), minefor ore... you can eventually even make vehicles such as a car, a UFO, or even a mecha-like robot. Man, the list goes on. I was really surprised at how much is actually in this game!
~ Countless Pets!
You can capture nearly every monster you encounterin the game to become your battling partner, as well as various NPCswho will join you through quests. Each player controls their characterand one pet at a time.
~ Too much for me to list!
There are also guilds, PVP battles,and dozens of quests and events to keep yourself occupied. Not tomention, this game is pretty darn challenging. If you're a fan ofJ-RPGs, Wonderland Online might be something you want to check out!
My character is named Taryn, a Water-element healing/support mage, and I'm on the new Cancer server, and I usually am playing on Channel 3.
